Congratulations, I'm glad you're considering a newborn portrait session to remember your sweet baby so young.
It's easy to wonder, "How does it work?". It's easy and fun, the ultimate experience.
1. Complimentary Consultation
We'll chat via Zoom or meet up in the studio to talk about what you're interested in for your session. It's the perfect time to have all your questions answered and to start talking about ideas and plans for your photoshoot, along with print products and pricing.
2. When should we plan for the session?
The ideal time to photograph newborns is between 5 and 20 days, the younger the better as they will change so quickly. Because your baby's exact arrival time is up to them, and those first days can be alot to adjust to, it's best to reserve your spot ahead of time as close to their due date as possible and we will work from there once he or she is born.
3. What to bring?
We utilize a variety of studio outfits and fabrics that will provide wonderful variety to your baby's portraits. In addition, I will give you a helpful studio guide prior to the shoot including how to prepare, what your baby can wear, and what to bring.
3. Picture day!
It's easy, I will take care of all the details, big and small. Your baby's session will be about 2-3 hours, which gives us time to photograph, but if your baby is a little fussy or extra hungry, we'll take breaks so we can get them settled. I will go through a variety of poses and outfits with your baby, taking our time every step of the way. It's most important your baby is comfortable, but also that you feel comfortable and are enjoying the experience.
4. Choose and Order Your Favorites
About 2 weeks after the photoshoot, you'll be invited back to the studio to view and order the photos you like. We will go through all your images while you decide which you love. There is no minimum purchase required. If you're coming from a distance or can't make it to the studio in person, we can arrange for a remote session via Zoom. It's that simple!
